Have you ever noticed – 
that when you hear people talking about the small steps they took to get them to the next step on their journey towards their goals that you feel motivated to re-focus and take steps towards your own goals? 

Whilst it’s great if you have a study group, team focus session or a role model that you get to hang out with regularly, most people don’t have access to that. All is not lost . . .


Use this as a tool: 
It’s 2023 and you still haven’t discovered podcasts yet? Theres a high probability you have a smart phone – so why not take a moment to check out a podcast app (Apple, Spotify, YouTube and others) and find out which creators and publishers are regularly posting episodes on topics that are of interest to you or relevant to a personal, life or work goal you’re currently working towards.

You’ll be sure to find someone inspiring that you can use in place of a mentor or coach, to help educate and motivate you, giving you ideas and inspiration to take the baby steps needed towards your broader goals.

Going for a walk or to the gym? – Listen to a podcast!

Cooking for the family? – Listen to a podcast!

Need a kick up the ass to start a passion project? – Listen to a podcast!!!


. . . this list could go on and on. One especially effective tool is to combine an activity or habit that you find mundane with consuming some educational or inspirational content that will help you focus your mind towards your goals. Find something you enjoy listening to so you’re less likely to skip your walk. Put on a snippet about nutrition when you’re preparing dinner. Even find some comedy to distract you from what ever the other task is. In short, stack the two activities to maximise your time, helping to keep you energised, focussed and on track, not just for your health, but in your life on the whole.
