Motivation for getting started

In the first of Your Daily Health Fix video format I’ll be giving you the inspiration and a mindful moment to make next week and beyond even better . . . 

so here’s the thing this is the first of
your daily dose Health fix video format
and I wanted to use this as a
motivational video every Friday we’re
talking about different things to help
with habit building and habit
strengthening new habits those habits
can form many parts of your health you
know be it the exercise elements be it
your nutritional habits be it the things
that you do in the time between from the
second you get up till the second you go
to bed everything that feeds into what
will make you
feel better what will make your health
markers be better or would reduce your
stress control your weight things that
might have led to having any chronic
issues I don’t have any of those
problems in so far as procrastination
for doing my exercise for example and 95
of the time eat really pretty well you
know occasionally I Let Go occasionally
I have things that are less ideal and
certainly wouldn’t want to have a free
day but generally I I don’t even call it
discipline because it’s just who I am
but for you it might be something else
that you need to look at so I wanted to
take this opportunity to say go for it
the example being this actual video I’ve
been talking for ages about getting
started with the video format for the
daily Health fix anyway I’ve been
talking about this for a long time and
for whatever reason I’ve been putting it
off and at some point you have to just
say right I’m doing it and that’s
exactly what’s happened today we’re
kicking it off with a bit of motivation
for you take this as a at some point the
excuses run out and you just have to get
on with so if you haven’t been as
conscientious with moving as much as you
you know you should uh or not moving at
all you know that you need to lose
weight and you’ve been saying so for the
last decade or the last five years and
whatever reason you’re blaming it on
someone else someone else in the house
does the buying the cooking uh you’re
too busy at work you you have a social
life that involves lots of food events
so at some point you have to say no my
health isn’t more important and it
starts today so go away with that this
weekend the same applies for exercise if
you’re if you’re struggling to move more
in the day instead of watching Netflix
after dinner tonight leave the TV alone
go and walk for half an hour uh if
you’ve got someone to go with you that’s
even better but in any case you finish
dinner you go for a walk and obviously
that’s a really easy task to do and it’s
something that once you build into your
habits it’s going to help you in the
long term all of these are just examples
so I don’t want to speak specifically
for you you know what you’re supposed to
be targeting or what you’ve been putting
off maybe it’s a hobby that you haven’t
started maybe it’s a new business
venture maybe you hate your job and you
need to quit often we can’t do all these
things at once so choose one of those
things spend the next few minutes
thinking about what you can do today and
tomorrow to make that happen even the
smallest thing that’s possible for it
you know opens some websites to find out
what’s going on in your local area Chuck
out the junk that’s in the house
sit down with with the people you live
with to talk about what you need to do
for your health take the batteries out
of the remote control for the TV any of
these things so start with that today
take this as your motivation let me know
in the comments what you’re going to
attack first make it really small and
manageable and use reminders obstacles
to to trigger the to trigger the action
so that you don’t fall back into your
old patterns don’t forget of course to

Monday you’ll get to your next daily
Health fix this format is going to
continue for now and I hope you enjoy
the stuff that’s coming up as always
we’ll be talking about exercise and
movement we’ll be talking about
nutrition and food we’ll talk about
things that affect your mental health
and your energy and we’ll talk about
medical stuff and myths that get
circulated and don’t disappear but
they’re actually damaging you rather
than helping you and of course like
today the Habit building and
motivational topics that will help
hopefully keep you on the right path and
keep you motivated to keep going
