A life time of frustration; resolved –

DAVID
For more than 25 years David had been frustrated by his failure with weight loss diets and fitness regimes, essentially carrying a size and look that made him self-conscious and unhappy.

His blood tests were showing signs of chronic inflammation and an acute diabetes case in waiting; he had already been taking anti-depressant medication for many years although their effect was generally limited.

After working with Rob at The Health Fix David transformed his health – he attained a healthy body weight (losing over 20kg and a 65% reduction in body fat), achieved the athletic aesthetic he always desired, optimized his lifestyle and daily habits and eventually was able to throw out the psych meds. He is now metabolically healthy, has honed his skills for maintaining his control of his life and health, and is happy and confident to face every situation that life has in store.

Dodgy joints; A return to pain free performance –

TOM
Following a sports accident Tom suffered with a chronically recurring dislocated shoulder. Exceptionally painful with each re-occurrence, he wasn’t able to exercise or maintain the strength and physical abilities that he once had. Tom elected to undergo re-constructive surgery of his glenohumeral joint.

Tom’s program involved resynchronizing his multiplanar and full body compound movements in order to allow his shoulder to operate without restriction and in harmony with his general physical activities.

Tom has returned to his former athletic self, performing at a high level without pain, with the confidence that his shoulder will not interfere with his activities and lifestyle.

Disability turned Ability; defying the odds –

KATE
Kate was born with a motorneuron condition, that was similar in nature to Cerebral Palsy, but not conclusively diagnosed for all of her life. The condition affects her ability to co-ordinate her movements and maintain strength and sensation, often triggered at the most random of times. The condition meant that Kate relies on a wheel chair for most activities, especially when endurance or balance are required.

Having been passed from pillar to post within the medical system Kate decided to seek outside help. Working with Rob at The Health Fix Kate’s determination and perseverance resulted in being able to walk unaided for significant distances and even climbing stairs without hesitation and impressive speed.

Whilst it’s a fact that Kate’s disability can’t be reversed, she has gained a greatly improved motoric cognition, and has the confidence and freedom to go for longer periods without the wheelchair.

Retiring from work, but not from play!

GENE
Having always hated gyms and exercise routines Gene’s inactivity was starting to effect her ability to keep up with the family or whilst travelling the world. Following one fall too many and chronic knee and back pains she decided to seek help.

Gene invested in her physical health by committing to a conditioning program with outstanding consistency. With the goal of some specific vacations out in nature that would demand stamina and stability, Gene's training program was geared towards attaining a level fitness not often seen in others of her generation.

Today nothing phases her. Gene can roll around and play with her grandkids, she volunteers all day for manual or laborious activities, and is able to book foreign adventures knowing that her strength and ability can be relied upon when roaming off the beaten path.

SAM
Sam thought that his football career was over when recurring injuries marred his game and left him constantly in pain.

The Health Fix’s approach with Sam re-wrote the book with regard to how to approach his physical training. The techniques he had used for years were ultimately failing him. Sam diligently re-learned to move, to jump, to land, to change direction, and to absorb impact. This resulted in him also being able to develop more power when on the field, as he was no longer scared about exacerbating his injuries.

With maximum agility, renewed confidence and boosted efficiency Sam is back to performing on the pitch and has extended his sporting career. Definitely a goal to be proud of!

At The Health Fix we detest the old cliché ‘no pain no gain’; in fact, no pain always means more gain.

FROM ANYWHERE - HOW IT WORKS . . .

Vacations, work trips, family visits, or even lockdowns are just a part of every day life. So is your healthy lifestyle. As such The Health Fix methods are built around location-fluid mentoring. You may be lucky enough to be in the same vicinity as your coach, and we encourage face to face consultations and workouts when possible, however through the magic of the internet location is no obstacle; infact many clients prefer the flexibility, privacy and focus that virtual meetings offer.

 

As long as you have a smartphone or other webcam device available we’ll schedule consultations and meetings as part of your training routine in order to ensure continuity and consistency, no matter where in the world you find yourself at any given moment. Our results speak for themselves and our location-fluid approach aides in maintaining efficient progress towards our clients goals whilst minimizing setbacks.
